A Day in DC

Howdy everyone!!

Ebony and I had such an exciting week!! On Monday, Mom took us to the vet for Ebony's first check up, which turned out great, of course. Then on Tuesday, Mom took us to the Petsmart birthday party to take a picture and make some new friends. We got to see other dogs play the musical sit game. They were pretty good! Mom said our training is still in the works, but pretty soon we'll be just as good as them.

These are pictures of my pretty lady, Ebony during her first week in our new home. These are the few times Mom could catch her still, since we're always playing and jumping around. Isn't she beautiful!! I have to say so, myself.

Then yesterday, Mom and Dad took us to visit Fala's memorial...I mean FDR's memorial.... ;o)
We first took a stroll around Potomac Park as we walked to the Jefferson Memorial (that's the first picture you see above.) Mom and Dad say we are very photogenic. We got a lot of attention from all the tourists. I love the attention because I get to make new friends. Mom and Dad say we are the friendliest babies they have ever had.

Then we finally walked back towards the FDR memorial to visit Fala. These are the pictures Mom and Dad took:

Wheewww! We had a long trip. Even with all the snacks and water, Mom and Dad had to carry Ebony every once and a while because she insisted on getting her beauty rest. I was a trooper and kept walking the whole way. Then when we got home, Ebony was really tired.

She didn't even realize she was falling off of the sofa!!

Well, Mom and Dad are getting ready to met some friends, so we have to get in our crate. I'll be back next week!!

LOVE,

OBIE & EBONY

  5. Ciao Obie and Ebony!

Although I, Lucia, am an Airedale, la mia ragazza tells me that I once had a Scottie sissie whose name was Jinks. (Santa vacca, does she ever go on and on about this doggie -- and there are pikkies ALL OVER MY CASA!) As a result, I feel I have a certain understanding of Scotties beyond just what the casual observer, um, observes. For instance, I know your teeth are as big as a German Shepherd's, and though your leggies are short, you can run quite fast! La mia ragazza says Jinks' beardie, while longer than my darlingest scruffy beardie, did not hold as much water and general household flotsam and jetsam as mine, so it was easier to groom. And I know that Scotties have a BIG bark that is inversely proportional to their petite size! If you'd like to see my sissie from another decade, stop by my bloggie -- naturally, even though it is MY bloggie, la mia ragazza has put pictures of this most beloved Scottie on it. Pllbbbbb!!!(I'm a little jelly ... can you tell??)

Your trip to Washington looked fantastico, BTW! I'd be tuckered out, too, after all of that sightseeing!

    Tanti baci!
    Lucia

Mommy says I'm lucky I'm so good looking because I make even Daddy's not-so-professional grooming look cute.
