Happy Memorial Day Everyone!!!

Well, the day has finally come to pack up for our trip to Texas!! Yay!! Ebony finally got her very own grooming this past Wednesday. See how pretty she looks? Mom has been so busy preparing for this trip all weekend. She's been cleaning all day. We're especially excited that we're going to visit my wonderful Rocky Creek family tomorrow on our way down, so they can see how much I've grown since they last saw me!! This is me with my nice hair cut....

Finally, Mom sat down to rest, and we knocked out as soon as she did. It's a tough job to supervise Mom, you know. We've been observing her all day, too. We were wondering when she was going to sit down.

Well, hopefully next week we'll have some neat pictures to share with everyone of our trip. I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!

Getting Ready for Our Texas Trip!!

Hello everyone!

Well, as promised, Mom and Dad took me to get my first "professional" grooming! Unfortunately, Ebony is due to get her rabies vaccination tomorrow, so she'll be getting her grooming on Tuesday. Everyone said I was such a good boy! This is a picture of Ebony as she was shopping with Mom and Dad for some last minute doggie necessities for our big Summer Texas trip.

Then, FINALLY, 3 hours later, Ebony was waiting for me in the doggie waiting area...

This is a picture of me pretending not to check out my new handsome face, even though I really was trying to check myself out...

When we got back in Dad's truck I was surprised to see our very own doggie seats that Mom and Dad set up for our trip. Ebony and I have our own individual cozy doggie beds with our very own safety seatbelts. Now the whole family will be safe and buckled up for our big trip. Can you tell I was giving Mom a good profile picture of me here...?

This is pretty little Ebony all buckled up in her very own doggie safety seat.

Mom also bought us our very own mini-doggie back packs for our trip to the beach when we're in Texas. Ebony and I also have matching fancy dogfood bowls to take with us, now. We're all so excited!! Mom's cousins will hopefully be coming back with us so we'll have some family to entertain. Here is another picture of me posing again for a really handsome picture, just for you guys!

I have to say we make quite the handsome pair...

I'll have to post some pictures of Ebony's grooming before we leave next week, so you can all see her, too. Until then, have an awesome week! This will probably be the longest week ever for us, since we're counting down the days now!

Happy Monday everyone!

And Happy belated Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there!! Especially mine--Lilly. So I'm a day late, as you can see. Well, why do you suppose that is? I'll give you one guess--she has four legs, is cute as teddy bear, but has teeth like a shark. Yes siree, Ebony has committed her first major doggy misdemeanor. She bit into the laptop cord--on the day right before Mom's big exam, might I add. Yup, Mom wasn't too happy, especially when she found out that our laptop is the only Dell laptop that isn't compatible with the universal power adapters that most electronic stores carry. Boy did I feel like such a good dog, but I'm not sure it topped my paw painting scandal. I mean come on, look at this face...

Yup, that's Ebony asking Mom to forgive her while she continued to study from her book. All it takes is just one look at her little puppy face and Mom's over it. For some reason, Dad doesn't have it as easy as us. I'm not sure why. I've seen him give her the googly eyes, but it takes a little longer to work when he does it. I guess I have to show him some of my tricks. See here, Lesson #1: Put your otherwise-pointy ears back when you see Mom. She thinks it's super adorable! See my demonstration below:

I usually get a good scratch behind my ears when I do this. Ah, what can I say, I'm a master of charm. It works every time. I must get it from my mommy and daddy, Lilly and Piper. Dad's gotta pick up on these things. Ebony's pretty good at charming Mom, too. All she does is plop on her lap with her googly face, as she demonstrated in the picture above.
Anyhow, just 2 more weeks till our big trip to Texas to meet our human grandparents. Mom's worried they're going to spoil us. She says grandma used to give Oreo everything she wanted, and then poor Oreo would get an upset tummy from everything she'd given her. See, Oreo had that charm, too. ;O) Well, hopefully grandma will listen to Mom, cause as you can see, we are pretty darn convincing. Ebony and I are excited because Dad says he's going to find us a special place to get a nice grooming done before we go down there. We are going to dress to impress! We can't wait!!
Have a wonderful week everybody!!

Making the Most of a Rainy Day...

Good evening all!

So it was a very gloomy weekend for us in Woodbridge, VA. Mom and Dad had plans to take us to Virginia Beach, until we saw the cloudy weather coming in. Mom even went to buy a tripod for our camera so that we could take a family picture on the beach. Oh, well, I guess we'll save it for a nicer weekend. Dad had the weekend off, so we've been on our best behavior. For those of you who don't know, our Dad thinks he's the Dog Whisperer, which Mom finds very cute. Although, Mom says that ever since they started crate tranining us, we've been good doggies. No more poop paw painting on the sofa, kitchen floor and dinning table.

This is a picture of me and Dad watching television. Even though we didn't get to go to the beach, it was nice to have some male bonding time with Dad.

We had a chance to go out and play for a few minutes, but then the rain started again. This is a picture of Dad, Ebony and I playing fetch. Ebony gets really excited when we get to play outside.

This is Ebony taking a nap on the laptop table.

Yup, we were pretty bored this weekend, can you tell? I hope this gloomy weather goes away soon. I'm ready for some more adventures!
Until next week!
